The Visidon PDAF algorithm detects phase difference between two images reliably and accurately even under difficult environment such as low light and low surface detail environments. The algorithm can provide great improvement to camera’s autofocus system.
The Visidon PDAF algorithm computes the phase difference between left and right PD sensor images in sub-pixel accuracy and is specifically tuned for noisy and low textured cases where traditional PDAF algorithms may have problems. Visidon software supports both the whole image and user given regions to be used for the phase difference computation.
